NEW YORK TIMES X OUR WEDDING!

Mollowers! I'm a Married Woman! 💍

I’m beyond excited to share that I married Anthony Verderame, the cutest man (and best video editor) in the world, in New York City on Wednesday, October 2. This special day also marks what would have been my parents’ 41st wedding anniversary. We celebrated with a small, intimate group, walking around NYC, taking photos, and dining at Freemans on the Lower East Side.

But here’s the most surreal part: The New York Times featured our love story! 📰 You can read about it here!

As the girl who was always single, who didn’t get her first kiss until after high school, and spent 8 years dating in NYCbefore finding "the one," I’m truly humbled. I've always incorporated symbols of love—like hearts, arrows, and X's & O's—into everything I designed, and now, our love story is published for a global audience to read and be inspired by. I’m so grateful for this moment and so happy to share it with all of you! 💕

Wedding Details:

My Hair(!!!!!!): Styled by the amazing L Miller, owner of River Salon in Brooklyn, who brought my Priscilla Presley-inspired bridal look to life! L is a key part of our Brooklyn business family, and her salon is conveniently located right across the hall from our sparkle studio. She got us wedding-ready in our loft at the Public Hotel, where we had the most dreamy stay in NYC.

Makeup: My best friend, Sarah Loken, who also served as my maid of honor and courthouse witness, did my bridal makeup! 💄 She’s been my bestie since 7th grade and knows my face better than anyone.

Photography: The incredible Matt Salacuse, a New York City photographer, captured our wedding photos. He and Anthony have worked together on several projects, and we couldn’t have asked for better memories that really captured "us" he saw our personality and had fun. 📸

My Dress: I made my own wedding dress (how could I not?!). You can follow the creation process on TikTok and Instagram. The XOXO embroidery on the hemline was a vision I had over 15 years ago, and Jonathan Embroidery brought it to life beautifully. 👗✨

My Clutch: I carried our Gwen Clutch, which I knew would be my wedding clutch for years. It looked perfect paired with the Old English embroidery on my dress hem.

And if you're curious about Anthony's wedding ring… he has a tattoo of my heart & arrow doodle. Can you believe it? I love him so much. ❤️

Thank you to everyone who helped make this day so unforgettable! 🥰
xoxo,
Bag Lady Julie Verderame
