So, in case you heard...
I lost in the first round on Saturday night at the House of Diehl Style Wars. I loved what I made, a party dress made from newspaper, tinfoil, a bow, some packing tape and spray paint and have no regrets. i had a great time on stage and can't wait to take the next tour on! Check out the pics of my dress on the runway in the STYLE WARS tab of my website!

So, remember how i won that competition last year where i made a dress out of photographs in 45 minutes? (look in the Style War tab for a refresher!) Well, similar thing- the designers at House of Diehl invited me back!
I will be taking part in the 2009 STYLE WARS TOUR by House Of Diehl in NYC at Don Hill's where i will battle ONE ON ONE for 4 1/2 MINUTES making an outfit on a live model. Officially being sold in stores, Julie Mollo has a small collection of denim rompers and super high waisted skirts being sold at TG170, a boutique on Ludlow st. in the lower east side of NYC, frequented celebrities and loads of hip young people.

busy week! after sending katy perry a box of clothes, she appeared out in the first of the new collection- the denim acid washed zipper romper that was featured on the invitation to my fashion show. katy rocked the romp shopping through the lower east side of manhattan this week. very exciting. she looked fantastic in it- LOOK!
i met up with miss katy last night while at her show in nyc and we should be seeing more of that silhouette on her soon!
Brie Wolf of YOUnited TV wore some more Mollo while covering the NASCAR/Kentucky Speedway races last week. She wore my black puff pocket romper, customized with a racing flag patch on the front of the romper. she looked great- check her coverage here!
so much has been happening lately that we might need to unzip our rompers and expand- stay tuned!

As I had previously posted, I was chosen as one of four people in NYC to take part in the House of Diehl/FujiFilm Style War in which I had 45 minutes to create a garment on stage, on a live model, using nothing but large format photographs that i took on my new fujifilm camera.
Making my signature; a short, flirty, fun party dress- treated this challenge no differently than if it were t be made from fabric, and by doing that, I won!
Images from what was one of the most incredible nights of my life can be found in the Style War Tab of my portfolio. Thank you to all who came out to cheer me on during, and celebrate afterwards. It was a night I will never forget.

House of Diehl/ Fuji Film Style Wars
I have been chosen as one of 4 people in this marvelous city to take pictures of stuff (with my new, free, fujifim FinePix Z20fd digital camera) that will be printed out in large format on photo paper and on November 20th I will have 1 hour to make an ensemble on a live model using the photos as my raw material. The outfit will then go down a runway and industry professionals will judge, and you can come watch!
If you are interested in attending/cheering me on, you need to RSVP on this website make a profile and then RSVP so that your name will be on the guest list that night.
If I win i will be featured as a designer on Bravo's show "Make me a SuperModel" as well as winning $1000. There will be tons of press and fashion people and it should be pretty cool. I'd love if you could come cheer me on!
